What is a Community Coordinator and Community Helper?
As laid out in The Wild Woods mission, vision, and values statement, our ultimate goal is to develop a welcoming, interactive culture while also serving the needs and wants of its members. This lofty goal is attainable only through the combined efforts of Community Helpers, whose role is similar to that of a moderator, and Community Coordinators, who serve as administrators. These individuals work in tandem to ensure the seamless integration of ideas and innovation with the community. They determine direction, execute the vision, and ensure that their actions conform to the mission and values established.

Day-to-day operation, such as supervising the forums and discord, are generally vested duties for Community Helpers. Community Coordinators might also dabble in such affairs; however, they look to big picture ideas and strategies to fulfill objectives. Both roles serve an invaluable purpose and as such are held to high standards. Ultimately, the number of individuals who serve these positions is directly proportional to the community: a larger community naturally requires more manpower to maintain and promote continued expansion.

Qualities of individuals that would be an asset to The Wild Woods as a Community Coordinator or Community Helper are as follows:

Approachability, knowledgeable and helpfulness: Community Coordinators and Community Helpers serve the community. They must be knowledgeable, willing to help others no matter the issue at hand, and have a friendly and open demeanor. Such attributes ensure that the mission, vision, and values are fulfilled.
Forward Thinking, Insightful, and Innovative: All personnel are expected to contribute in some manner to achieving the grand design of The Wild Woods. Insightfulness and innovation are crucial for propelling The Wild Woods to the forefront of role-play communities and maintaining its position. While this is more so a quality befitting a Community Coordinator, it should be noted that Community Helpers are not excluded from being urged to contribute in this manner as well.
Activity: Community Coordinators and Community Helpers are expected to have an active role in The Wild Woods, especially when they serve as the Out of Character leaders for maintaining the community. Activity is a must for those who seek to fulfill these roles, and a simple increase in activity during a hiring season will not suffice. From the first day an individual joins, the present personnel are watching to see potential leaders - activity is the best way to prove it!
Maturity, Confidence, and Professional: The work of Community Coordinators and Community Helpers is not easy. These individuals are those that rise to the occasion to serve and better the community as a whole. There will be times where work will be difficult and during these times all personnel are expected to maintain proper decorum. Doubt and uncertainty are common in the decision-making process, but confidence serves as the ultimate panacea.
